Expertise in one line : Rich experience in food processing, especially processing of cereals, millets and pulses. Developed a low-capacity flaking machine for sorghum.

Notable contributions

  • Compiled a “Directory of Food Processing Industries in India”.
  • Developed and established the Department of Food Processing Technology and laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment at Dr. NTR CFST, Bapatla.
  • Guided 100 B.Tech (Food Technology) students, 6 M.Tech (Processing and Food Engineering), and M.Sc (Community Science) students in research projects.
  • Co-PI of RKVY Project on “Processing and Marketing of Value Added Millet Flours and Products” with a budget outlay of ₹19 lakhs.
