Expertise in the field of water management, hydrological modeling and RS and GIS application in land and water resources management
Notable contributions:
- Two and half decades of experience in teaching, research and administration
- IDP Coordinator for International Trainings for the students at Oklahoma State University, USA
- Hydrological modeling of Krishna river catchment between NSP and Prakasam barrage
- Recommended optimum Kolleru lake boundary at 5’ to avoid inundation of the surrounding fields using hydrological modeling as a Principal Investigator (PI) of the DST project
- Spatial water foot print of major crops were estimated and identified the potential crop production zones for different crops in Guntur, Krishna and Prakasam districts which have moderate blue water scarcity as Principal Investigator (PI) for ICAR Extramural project
- Optimised sizes of solar panels were identified for meeting crop water requirement in the farm as PI for RKVY project.
- Alternate cropping strategies to rice were identified using hydrological model (SWAT) in Kothakunta sub watershed for effective utilization of limited ground water for enhanced water productivity and sustainability as a Co – Investigator in the INDO –US AKI project in collaboration with University of Florida and North Carolina A&T
